This class will go beyond simply identifying different commercial property types (office, retail, industrial, multifamily); you'll learn how to evaluate their unique characteristics, assess their potential for income generation, and understand the factors that influence their value. You’ll develop a strong understanding of commercial real estate finance, including lease structures, rent calculations, and investment valuation methods and learn how to analyze cash flows, project returns, and assess the profitability of potential investments. The APOD financial report will be reviewed. Plus, gain insights into the tax implications of commercial real estate ownership, including depreciation, capital gains, and other relevant tax considerations, and understand how these factors can impact investment returns and long-term financial planning.
